At the Heflin-Torbert Judicial Building Rotunda, on October 18, 2016, the Alabama Access to Justice Commission recognized 95 Alabama attorneys who demonstrated outstanding commitment to volunteer legal services for the low income residents of Alabama. Honorees were recognized and applauded by Supreme Court of Alabama Acting Chief Justice Lyn Stuart and Alabama State Bar President-Elect Augusta S. Dowd.

Each of these honored attorneys provided 50 or more hours of pro bono service to those who could not otherwise afford it in 2015. This benevolent act shows their dedication to furthering the integrity of the practice of law and stands as an example of what all lawyers should strive to achieve.
